Brand what...?

My first thought on the term “Brand Activation” – hehe, latest marketing hype or what!? Like, don’t we have enough of these words? After 360°, omnichannel, cross media, gamification, experience and story marketing – just to name a few – “Brand Activation” is the next big thing?

In my knowledge-seeking nature: I kept reading and reading to find the core meaning of the term “Brand Activation”. What is it exactly? What’s the difference to other marketing strategies? Why should I use it? Is it theory only? How about the execution? Is it easy to implement? Which results to expect? How is it measurable? 

to gain activity – be active.

What I`ve found out is actually quite simple to explain. Shift your perspective. To have success and grow your brand, YOU have to MAKE your audience take ACTION. Don’t think in sales or numbers. Your activity leads to more sales – more clients – more followers – more everything. You have to be active to gain all that. Be active with your brand. Take action. Pro-active. Activity. Activate. In it’s truest sense. Got it?

ACTIVATE = COMMUNICATE – ENCOURAGE – ATTRACT – SURPRISE

That’s the way you do good marketing. Marketing that works. Marketing that drives/activates sales and growth. That’s the only fu**ing way! All else won’t work. It’s that simple.
